In short: If the RIAA wants us to stop pirating, they need to get their heads out of their butts, stop suing people thousands of dollars for pirating individual songs, get some content worth paying for, and stop charging $20 for 8 songs on an album. There will always be those that pirate tons of music and never buy anything, but there are also loads of people out there that will buy the hard copy if they appreciate the material Not the most awful thing in the world, but why should we have this arbitrary rule in place? ThatвЂ™s what this is about. The DRM makes it so that you can take it to your car, but as soon as you get it out of the car at your house the burger dematerializes and you canвЂ™t get it back unless you sit in the car. Using that hideous McDonaldвЂ™s analogy: Say you want to take the burger to your car to eat at home.

If it were possible to magically create another burger without using anything of cost, then yes, it should be free.ДЄnd on another note, ItвЂ™s not just about вЂњGetting stuff for free,вЂќ itвЂ™s about the fact that when you buy something with the current RIAA-recommended DRM, you can have the song, but usually with such ridiculous restrictions that itвЂ™s a lot easier to just pirate it and actually have it the way itвЂ™s supposed to be when you buy it: Usable on all your stuff.
